Get your free @currane.net email address
Currane.net is offering people in the Currane area a free email address of the style anything@currane.net which will forward all mail to your existing email address.
The first advantage is that you benefit from the Currane.net community "brand" and are part of the Currane Community network.
Secondly, you will find it a great deal easier to change your ISP or current email provider.
Let's say your current email address is "yourname@indigo.ie" but one day you decide that you want to change to a different service provider. You then have to email all your friends, acquaintances, contacts etc. and ask them to change their address book to your new address. This might be acceptable once or twice, but eventually could be a real pain.
With a currane.net address you would simply email us and request that we change you forwarding address to your new email provider, so all your friends continue using the same address for you.
How does it work?
We have a simple, automatic, 24 hour forwarding system. All we do is add an entry that tells the system that any mail that arrives addressed to "yourname@currane.net" is automatically forwarded your real email address, for example "yourname@indigo.ie". This happens immediately and transparently - your mail is not delayed or stored anywhere else.
You tell all your friends to send mail to "yourname@currane.net" and you should also alter your current mail settings to display this address in all your emails, but you continue to use your existing isp/email provider so you don't have to learn anything new!
When you change your email service provider we simply change the forwarding, no-one else even needs to know you've moved. It's a bit like having a PO Box for your regular mail.

Fancy putting yourself on the internet? Want relatives and friends to see your photos and find out what you're up to? A web page on Currane.net might be the answer.
Currane.net will soon be offering to host your web page(s). Your web address would be something like "www.currane.net/people/yourname.html" (or, if you'd like your business to have a page, it could be "www.currane.net/businesses/yourcompany.html").
You may either submit your own ready-made html pages, or we can help you design them - the choice is yours. Either way, you'll also be listed in either our "people directory" or "business and services directory."
