Treasa Walsh's Favourite Ginger Bread Recipe. (Submitted: February 2002)

Treasa Walsh's Favourite Ginger Bread.

Ingredients:

1lb.
0.5 tsp.
1.5 tsps.
2 tsps.
8 ozs.
6 ozs.
0.75 lb.
Half a pint
1

Flour
Salt
Ground Ginger.
Bicarbonate of soda.
Brown Sugar.
Butter.
Treacle or syrup.
Milk.
Egg.

Method:

Grease & line a square tin approx 10" by 10"
Sieve all the dry ingredients together.
Warm the sugar, butter, & treacle or syrup together
DO NOT ALLOW THE SUGAR MIXTURE TO GET TOO HOT.
Warm the milk & beat the egg.
Combine all the ingredients, mix very thoroughly & put the mixture into the
prepared tin.
Bake in a Moderate oven (350F.) for 1.5 hours or until the cake is cooked.
Cool & cut into squares.
Enjoy!
